There are a number of nautical clubs close by where you can try your hand at paddle surfing or windsurfing.
The Aqualeon water park offers fun for all ages with massive slides, pools and a beach. A day trip to Port Aventura theme park is not to be missed and you can extend the fun at Caribe Aquatic Park and Ferrari Land. The park also has a stunning white sandy beach if you prefer to take it easy.
Head to Tarragona and immerse yourself in its rich cultural and historical tapestry. See the Roman remains and take in the amphitheatre, Ferreres aqueduct, Roman circus and national archaeological museum. You can also step back in time at the colonial forum, which was built around 30 B.C. and was once the city's public and administrative nerve centre.
It is also well worth taking the time to visit Barcelona to stroll down La Rambla and pay homage to Antoni Gaudi at the still-under-construction Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and the various other buildings he designed around the city.
