Tourist guide

A holiday in the great outdoors!

Nature flourishes in Dordogne.  Dordogne is an ideal area for family holidays as it offers a wide variety of tourist and cultural activities. You can follow the trails of Dordogne on foot or by bike, and the rivers by canoe or kayak. Dordogne will also delight you with the richness of its heritage and its famous “terroir”...

Starting out from our campsite, we recommend the following excursions:

  • Hiking loops of 6 or 14 km from the campsite - Access: on foot
  • Cycling from the campsite - Access: by bike
  • Fishing at the campsite or on the River Dordogne (13 km away)
  • Mushroom picking onsite - Access on foot

For family days out, we recommend a trip to the Périgord Noir Aquarium and its fascinating animals, a trip back in time at the Parc du Bournat or a No Limit excursion for a touch of adventure.

Welcome to the Dordogne... Come and discover and taste the local produce!

  • Head for Les Eyzies...
    • Farmers' market by night, Fridays in July and August. On the programme: local produce and music
    • Traditional seasonal produce market: Mondays all year round
  • Head for Le Bugue...
    • Traditional (and famous!) market, Tuesdays all year round
    • Night market, Tuesdays in July and August
