Tourist guide

In 2019, La Ciotat Bay was designated the "Most Beautiful Bay in the World" by the World's Most Beautiful Bays Club.
The World's Most Beautiful Bays Club was founded in 1997, and currently has 41 members in 27 countries. La Ciotat Bay is now part of this exclusive club. It aims to promote, enhance and protect the most beautiful bays while respecting the environment and being a responsible destination. Members include Along Bay (Vietnam), San Francisco Bay (USA), Mont Saint-Michel Bay (France-Basse Normandie) and the Gulf of Morbihan (France-Brittany).

Dive into the deep blue sea!
The French Riviera lines the Mediterranean coast and is home to charming seaside resorts, artistic and historical towns, and lush countryside. Bathed in sunshine all year round, the Côte d'Azur boasts blue skies, idyllic beaches, singing cicadas, and gorgeous coves and creeks... How can you not fall in love with this region?

Blue Flag
Les Lecques harbour is 3 km from our campsite and was awarded the Blue Flag label in 2012; La Ciotat harbour is 5.5 km away and is also a Blue Flag destination. Created in 1985 and awarded in 46 countries, the Blue Flag label is given to towns, harbours or beaches which make a decisive effort to protect the environment, in particular, to raise awareness, preserve the region and manage water pollution.

Stunning nearby beaches:
Our campsite's nearest beach can be hard to reach if you have small kids. We recommend you head to:

  • Plage des Lecques, in Saint Cyr-sur-Mer, this seaside resort's largest beach (1.4 km long)
  • La Grande Plage (La Ciotat), a stunning sandy beach located between the Henri Langlois esplanade and Saint-Jean harbour.
  • La Plage du Liouquet (La Ciotat), a pebble beach with a few boulders below the Liouquet coastal road.
  • Plage Lumière (La Ciotat), a beautiful gently sloping sandy beach that's also no-smoking.
  • La Dog Beach, via the Promenade Paul Ricard (Bandol), so your four-legged friend can enjoy a good walk (15km away)

Come and sample the flavours and products of the South at the local markets in La Ciotat & Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, which are held every Sunday. There are also the Provençal night markets, held on warm summer evenings in La Ciotat, Saint-cyr-sur-mer, Cassis, Bandol, Sanary-sur-mer...

Some nearby markets:

  • Bandol: Nightly craft market every day from early July to mid-September
  • La Ciotat:
    • Local market offering organic and local produce, Saturday mornings all year round.
    • Night market, every day in July and August
